Tribunal update: recommendations to large employers to provide training to HR staff and management

We provide summaries and the full transcripts of two cases in which the employment tribunal took the unusual step of issuing the employer with a recommendation in relation to its wider workforce. The cases involve:

• a tribunal recommending that retailer Iceland train HR staff and senior management on mental health issues; and
• a tribunal recommending maternity rights training in a company where an employee was given work two days after giving birth.
