The Pensions Regulator has published template letters for employers, and set out its compliance and enforcement strategy for pensions auto-enrolment, in advance of the start of the auto-enrolment regime on 1 July 2012.
- Letter templates for employers (on the Pensions Regulator website) One of the new employer duties under pensions auto-enrolment is to provide certain information to workers, at the right time. Employers can use the Pensions Regulator's employer letter template tool to help them to comply with this duty.
- Compliance and enforcement: strategy and policy (on the Pensions Regulator website) The Pensions Regulator will police employer compliance with pensions auto-enrolment. These strategy and policy documents set out how the Pensions Regulator will enforce the auto-enrolment regime, using a system of statutory notices, fixed penalties and escalating fines.
