Podcast: June 2013 employment law changes

On this week's XpertHR Weekly, we explain the key legal changes due to come into force on 25 June 2013, namely, the changes to the whistleblowing regime, including the significance of the introduction of the requirement that a disclosure is "in the public interest" and the removal of the requirement to make a disclosure "in good faith". We also discuss the removal of the two-year qualifying period for unfair dismissal claims where the alleged reason for dismissal is the employee's political opinions or affiliations. In addition, we discuss employment tribunal fees and the new employment tribunal rules, which are set to come into force on 29 July 2013.

Presenter Jeya Thiruchelvam is joined by employment law expert and consultant editor, Darren Newman. Edited and produced by Luke Smith.
