Business confidence among finance services sector employers has plunged to its lowest level since September 1990 as the impact of the 'credit crunch' intensifies, according to the latest quarterly survey from the CBI and PricewaterhouseCoopers, published in June 2008.

The survey is based on responses from 87 employers in the sector, collected between 21 May and 4 June 2008.
