What is it?
A benefit for those with an illness or disability who need help to get around or look after themselves.

How much can an individual get?
Disability living allowance is paid weekly at rates which depend on the individual's circumstances and level of disability:

  £ per week
Care allowance
Higher rate £67.00
Middle rate £44.85
Lower rate £17.75
Mobility allowance
Higher rate £46.75
Lower rate £17.75

Current rates effective from: 7 April 2008.
