Statutory sick pay

What is it?
The amount of pay an employee is entitled to while sick.

How much can an individual get?
If the employee's average earnings before deductions such as tax and National Insurance are equal to or more than lower earnings limit (currently £90), they will be entitled to:

£75.40 a week

Current rates effective from: 6 April 2008.
