Form wording: Employees who have children under five years of age are entitled in law to a total of 13 weeks' parental leave in respect of each child once they have gained one year's continuous service with their employer. For the parents of adopted children, entitlement extends for five years from the date of the child's adoption or until the child reaches the age of 18, whichever occurs first.
