Letter wording: As you have not been employed with the Employer for a continuous period of two years, you are not entitled to a statutory redundancy payment. [However, the Employer is prepared to make you an ex gratia payment of [ ], which is equivalent to [ ] weeks' gross pay.] The Employer proposes to pay to you on termination of your employment:

  • normal wages until [date], the date of termination of your employment;
  • pay in lieu of notice of £[ ];
  • accrued holiday pay in respect of unused holiday entitlement of £[ ]; and
  • an ex gratia payment [made up of [ ] weeks' gross pay] of £[ ].
