When to use this model adoption leave letter

Use this model letter to provide employees who decide whilst on adoption leave not to return to work with a means of informing the employer of this.

Letter wording

I am writing to inform you that I shall not be returning to work at the end of my adoption leave period and hereby give the Company [one month's] notice of my resignation.
