Time off during redundancy notice

Under the Employment Rights Act 1996, sections 52 and 53 employees have the right to a reasonable amount of paid time off work during notice of dismissal by reason of redundancy. 

Purpose of time off Qualifying service
To look for new employment or to make arrangements for training for future employment Two years' service by the date the notice is due to expire (or by the date on which the minimum notice required under section 86(1) would expire if this is later)
