Increased longevity strengthens the case for ending mandatory retirement
ages, asserts the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
Responding to
new figures from the Continuous Mortality Investigations Bureau predicting an
increase in life expectancy, Charles Cotton, CIPD pensions adviser, said:
"These figures emphasise the need for the abolition of mandatory retirement
