In Allonby v Accrington & Rossendale College, the Court of Appeal has referred two questions on equal pay to the European Court of Justice.

Debra Allonby was employed by Accrington and Rossendale College as a part-time hourly-paid lecturer until the college decided to terminate the contracts of employment of part-time lecturers and instead to retain their services as sub-contractors.
