Public authorities have now had four years in which to embed their race equality schemes. Our survey of public authorities finds variable practice, with some authorities failing to review their race equality scheme or carry out any employment monitoring while others are making strenuous efforts to engage with local communities and bring about more equal outcomes in employment and service delivery.
