When to use this model adoption leave contract clause
Use this model contract clause when drafting an employee's contract or particulars of employment to cover situations where the adoption is from overseas and the child enters the UK before 5 October 2008.

Clause wording
An employee who adopts a child from
overseas and has received "official notification" in respect of that child is
entitled to a period of adoption leave provided that he/she has at least 26
weeks' continuous service, ending with the week in which the official
notification was received or starting with the week in which his/her employment
with the Company began. |
