Overtime going strong in the West Midlands

Overtime working is endemic at engineering and manufacturing firms in the West Midlands, with the vast majority paying only basic rates for overtime, according to the 2006 Shiftwork and Overtime Survey1 from EEF West Midlands.

The survey, based on responses from 164 EEF member companies located in the region, looks at overtime patterns and premia in 2006 for manual and non-manual staff.
