Accreditation for diversity practitioners is proposed

The prospect of equality and diversity practitioners having to meet specified competencies and gain accredited qualifications has moved a step closer, with the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) recommending the establishment of a new association to set professional standards.

Following consultation with equality and diversity practitioners and organisations, the LSC has published a 96-page report setting out the need for such a body and how it could work1.
