Regulations amending Sex Discrimination Act published


The Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Amendment) Regulations 2008 have been laid before parliament, and will come into force on 6 April 2008. The Regulations were made following the successful application by the Equal Opportunities Commission for judicial review of the implementation of the Equal Treatment Directive (EC/2002/73) through the Employment Equality (Sex Discrimination) Regulations 2005, which amended the Sex Discrimination Act 1975.
