- ECJ considers scope of Pregnant Workers Directive In Mayr v Bäckerei und Konditorei Gerhard Flöckner OHG Case
C-506/06 ECJ, the European Court of Justice has held that the Pregnant
Workers Directive does not protect a woman undergoing in vitro fertilisation
(IVF) treatment who is dismissed when she has had her ova fertilised but not
yet implanted.
