We provide guidance on the recent amendments to the Sex
Discrimination Act 1975 relating to harassment, rights during maternity leave
and the definition of discrimination on grounds of pregnancy or maternity
leave.
The changes were brought into force by the Sex Discrimination Act
1975 (Amendment) Regulations 2008 on 6 April 2008, although those affecting
rights during maternity leave apply to only those employees with an expected
week of childbirth beginning on or after 5 October 2008. |
