Employment Act 2008 receives Royal Assent

The Employment Act 2008 received Royal Assent on 13 November 2008 and will come into force in stages.

In addition to repealing the statutory dispute resolution procedures, the Act strengthens provision for the enforcement of the national minimum wage and the regulation of employment agencies.
