Recession hits housing association executive pay

Almost half (47%) of all housing association chief executives expect to have their salary frozen next year, according to a report published by accountancy and financial services group Smith & Williamson1, while one-third (31%) were subject to a pay freeze in 2009.

Two-thirds of the 38 housing associations surveyed were able to give an indication of the likely level of their 2010 executive pay review.
