Richard Cornwallis

Richard Cornwallis works for Makarim & Taira S. as a senior foreign legal consultant.

He has worked in Indonesia since 1993 and specialises in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters with particular emphasis on international transactions, including foreign investment, mergers and acquisitions, employment, insurance and hotels/resorts. Prior to joining Makarim & Taira S. he practised in the Singapore office of Baker & McKenzie and was a solicitor with Johnson, Stokes & Master in Hong Kong.

He has written and spoken on many legal issues and has been recognised in Asia Pacific Legal 500 as a leading individual lawyer for corporate/M&A. He was listed as a labour and employment expert in Who's Who Legal: Management Labour and Employment 2014.
