Congratulations to Charlotte Wolff, who has scooped the AON Consulting Pensions and Investment Journalist of the Year award.
The researcher-writer for Employment Review was recognised at a ceremony at the House of Commons for her ability to make technical subjects palatable.
She said: "I'm thrilled to have won. I've been runner up for this award over the past couple of years now and thought I was going to make it a hat trick this year."
Charlotte submitted an article written for Equal Opportunities Review highlighting the problem women who had taken career breaks to raise children are now facing with state pensions of just 5p per week.
She also put forward two articles on complex, technical subjects which the judges praised for being "very readable".
IRS managing editor Mark Crail said: "Charlotte has a great record of winning awards for her journalism. She knows a tremendous amount about pensions and can explain often highly technical concepts clearly for a non-specialist audience. We’re all delighted at this important industry recognition of what she does."
