Your opportunity to ask the Xperts … at no charge!

Are you unclear about exactly which terms and conditions you inherit on a TUPE transfer? Or what sorts of things constitute “measures” for consultation purposes?

Perhaps you’re confused about whether there’s a requirement to give a day off in lieu of a bank holiday during maternity leave. Or unsure if you can still roll up your short-term workers’ holiday pay into their wages.

Maybe a grievance raised during a disciplinary process throws you into confusion. Or you’re uncertain if you can refuse an employee’s request to be accompanied by a particularly awkward individual at a disciplinary hearing.

If so, perhaps you could benefit from attending one of the forthcoming Ask the Xperts sessions.

On 18 and 19 September – during CIPD conference week – XpertHR will be running a two-day event at the Holiday Inn, Harrogate, and is giving you the opportunity to attend comprehensive sessions on holiday and bank holiday rights, TUPE, and discipline and grievance issues. Choose to attend just one session, or all three – although hurry as places are limited and, with no charge for any of the seminars, are expected to be snapped up.

In the two-hour sessions, our expert speakers – who include renowned TUPE specialist John McMullen – will update you on recent developments and provide practical answers to frequently raised employment law questions. And with the last half an hour of each session devoted to questions from the audience, there will be ample opportunity to ask any questions of your own not already covered. What’s more, the speakers will be around after their session to chat to delegates over a lunchtime sandwich or a glass of wine later in the day – a chance for you to raise any issues causing particular concern.

Even if you can't make the sessions themselves, you're welcome to come along to the suite to network with other HR professionals or treat yourself to a complimentary Indian head massage or reflexology session.

For further information and to reserve places visit the XpertHR Group Suite website.
