Congress TV - another way to while away the day

If you miss the days when BBC Television cleared its schedules to offer wall-to-wall coverage of the Trades Union Congress, then the TUC has a little treat for you.

This week’s conference in Brighton saw the launch of Congress TV – a web-based channel for the TUC and wider trade union movement to distribute video news to anyone who wants to see it.

The channel already has some coverage from this week’s gathering, so you can see for yourself prime minister Gordon Brown’s speech, an interview with TUC general secretary Brendan Barber and assorted Congress debates.

Oh yes, and the site is inviting people to send in videos for the site that would interest a union audience, so if your IT department says there’s been a dramatic drop in employees’ use of Facebook and YouTube, you know where they’ve gone.
