CELRE turns spotlight on managers' pay

CELRE published its 2008 National Management Salary Survey today, based on data for some 40,000 individuals in all sectors of the economy.

This is the first major survey that CELRE has published since it became part of the wider XpertHR Group last month, and we were delighted to see it making the front page of this week’s Personnel Today.

The National Management Salary Survey, published in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institute, is a pretty impressive piece of work. It provides detailed salary data for management posts in functions as diverse as finance, sales and general management.

It can break the figures down by industry, geography and gender. And, of course, it also offers pay tables by level of seniority and responsibility.

CELRE is keen to promote future participation in this and other salary surveys, not least because participating organisations are able to use the data that comes out of the reports in a much more sophisticated way when reviewing salaries and pay structures.

Those who sign up and agree to submit their own pay data can also get a fairly hefty discount on a range of other CELRE salary surveys, including detailed specialist reports on particular company functions.

If you are interested in getting a copy of the 2008 report and taking part in future surveys, it will cost you just £395 (assuming you sign up by 30 June 2008). Otherwise, the full cost of the report is £810.
