The reality of redundancy

With UK unemployment at almost two million people, many of those making up these numbers will have faced redundancy from their job.

How organisations handle the process of making employees redundant not only has a bearing on the individuals concerned, but also on those employees remaining with the company, and its continuing operations.

To investigate how employers manage redundancy, we are conducting a major survey of the topic.

All survey respondents will be sent a complimentary copy of the headline findings by the end of January 2009, with the full survey results sent out by the end of March.

Participating in our research will enable you to see how other organisations handle the redundancy process - from consultation, redundancy selection and compensation, to ways to minimise redundancy and the lasting effects on the business.

The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete, but will provide you with a wealth of information on how to effectively manage the redundancy process.
