Using shiftworking to meet business needs

More than one in 10 (13%) employees in the UK usually works shifts, while another 2% do so some of the time. For many, the lure of an additional premium to compensate for the anti-social working hours makes working shifts worthwhile. Meanwhile employers need to balance the needs of the business with the costs and upheaval for employees associated with working outside of the standard nine to five day.

To examine how organisations use shiftworking to meet their individual needs, IRS is conducting a survey of shiftworking practices.

All participants will receive a free copy of the final report, providing them with benchmarking information on shiftworking practices and rates and information on how the arrangements covering shiftworking can most effectively be managed.

Complete the survey to be a part of this interesting research project.
