38% of UK employers don't have a swine flu contingency plan

Nearly two-fifths (38%) of UK employers do not currently have a contingency plan in place to cope with the workplace impact of a swine flu epidemic (external website), according to Government data reported in the Obsever.

According to the article, the Government has been warned that "vital sections of society could be paralysed if swine flu reaches epidemic proportions as expected."
