Maternity rights - model letters for employers

Every year a small number of employees experience a stillbirth or lose their baby shortly after birth. In such circumstances, employees should be advised of their maternity rights.

An employee’s rights in such circumstances depend on when the miscarriage, stillbirth or loss of her baby occurs. XpertHR has published model letters for such circumstances, which require understanding while informing an employee of her rights to maternity leave and pay.
