The headline pay award stands at 1.3% in the three months to the end of June 2009 (subscription required), according to the latest analysis from Industrial Relations Services (IRS) for XpertHR.
This median basic award is the same as the record low reported last month, but further additions to the IRS pay databank have resulted in the headline figures for the previous two rolling quarters being revised downwards, with the median for the three months to May 2009 now standing at just 1%.

The proportion of pay freezes continues to creep up: pay freezes, and the handful of pay cuts recorded by IRS, now account for 37.4% of all pay awards analysed in the quarter, up from 35% recorded in the three months to the end of May.
