Managing disability at work - IRS conference

Next Thursday, 10 September, I'll be attending the IRS Managing Disability at Work conference in London. Jeya Thiruchelvam and I are planning to talk to some of the speakers and delegates about the issues covered during the day, and we're hoping to get some video footage to put up on this blog.

The conference programme has been designed for directors, general managers and managers with responsibility for HR and related areas

Speakers at the conference include:

  • Owen Warnock, a partner at Eversheds LLP, who will give an overview of the law on disability discrimination and future developments expected in the Equality Bill;
  • Bela Gor, Head of legal, policy and information at the Employers' Forum on Disability, on recruitment and disability; and
  • Emma Burrows, a partner at Trowers and Hamlins, talking about retirement, disability and dismissals.

    You can see the full programme and register if you haven't already done so, on the IRS conference website.

    For more information on this and other upcoming IRS conferences, see my colleague Jo Stubbs' recent post.
