A round up of links to recent employment tribunal rulings, including compensation for employees at a printing firm who were not warned of redundancy, the failure of Gloucestershire Police to make reasonable adjustments for a dyslexic police officer and an unfair dismissal claim by a delivery driver who was caught urinating in public.

As a result, we are now keeping a closer eye on what employment tribunal decisions are making the news. Here are links to some of the cases that have been reported in the press from 17 to 30 October 2009.
Firm "feared sabotage" by workers (on the BBC website) Spireax Binding, which kept its workers in the dark over the state of the business because it feared that they would sabotage production, has been ordered by an employment tribunal to make a large pay-out for failing to inform and consult on redundancies.
BDA welcomes dyslexia tribunal case (on the Personnel Today website) The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) welcomes an employment tribunal judgment that Gloucestershire Police failed to make sufficient reasonable adjustments for dyslexic Chief Inspector Phil Haynes in his application for promotion to Superintendent.
Urinating driver loses job appeal (on the BBC website) A delivery driver who was dismissed after he was spotted by a member of the public urinating against the side of his van has lost his claim for unfair dismissal.
Police community support officer Asad Saeed loses discrimination case (on the Times website) An employment tribunal has ruled that a police community support officer was not discriminated against on the grounds of his race.

hi i work for asda,i enjoy very much having given heart and soul for the company,a few who are area managers and normal people in asda can decide if you are trust worthy or not a way to get you out of the store and company.
where i work every body back stabes to be the gsm favourate so if you fart they will know and this is the only way to keep a job in asda, only if wal-martand directors knew what these people are doing.
i am not trained in another dept which i was told to go in made a mistake not stealing internal error which can be solved.
but i have been made a crimanal ,theaf after not getting one warning during my 9 years there.every one is coluding to keep the boss happy so my family is suffering financially and feel for my kids while growing up i was always in asda,eat,drink,sleep asda.
i am now summary dismissed on trust. which suits them to make unlawful decisions i am very angry and want my job back which i enjoy,and futher more not even trained on dept or for my role in asda,they made up their mind on trust there is no loss to asda at all.i will keep you all posted.......
