Over recent years, the flexibility of the competency approach has attracted increasing numbers of employers, yet this very flexibility can also make competency frameworks difficult to understand and use. To assess the status of competencies in the workplace in 2010, we're currently inviting UK employers to take part in the 2010 competency benchmarking survey from IRS for XpertHR. The results of this confidential survey will provide you with the chance to benchmark your organisation's experience of using competencies against other employers.
The survey closes on Friday 4 June 2010. All participants will receive:
1. A complimentary copy of the research report when it becomes available; and
2. A complimentary copy of the IRS/XpertHR HR roles and responsibilities 2009/2010 report, immediately upon completion of this survey.
For the purpose of this survey, "competencies" include lists and definitions of: (a) behaviours, attitudes and other soft skills; (b) technical and other hard skills; and (c) NVQs, SVQs and occupational standards.
Subscribers to XpertHR benchmarking can access full results data from the previous IRS/XpertHR competency benchmarking survey (undertaken in 2008).
