Equal pay victory for women paid £10,000 less per year (on the Herald Scotland website) Two women have won an equal pay claim after protesting that a male colleague was receiving £10,000 more for doing the same job.

Shop steward unfairly dismissed for swearing at work (on the Wales Online website) A shop steward has received compensation for unfair dismissal after being sacked for swearing at his boss.

Firearms policewoman wins £273,000 in sexism case (on the Guardian website) A police force has been ordered to pay £273,000 for discriminating against a woman firearms officer, after an employment tribunal found that it acted in a "high-handed, insulting and malicious way".

Care worker wins constructive dismissal claim (on the Chronicle Live website) A former care worker has won her unfair dismissal battle against a North Tyneside care home.

Medical gas supplier unfairly dismissed driver for speeding offence (on the Leader website) A driver who delivered oxygen to ambulance stations was unfairly dismissed following a speeding offence, an employment tribunal has found.

Costs soar as former local government worker wins second tribunal claim (on the Chronicle Live website) A former town hall officer has hit out at council chiefs after winning a claim for unfair dismissal for the second time in two years.

Accountant unfairly dismissed over excessive internet use awarded £40,000 (on the BBC website) An accountant who was fired for his "excessive" internet use by Scottish and Southern Energy has been awarded almost £40,000 compensation.

Warehouse colleagues accused of stealing parcels win unfair dismissal awards (on the Birmingham Mail website) Two workers who were dismissed after being accused of stealing parcels have been awarded around £36,000 and £28,000 respectively.

Kidderminster workers awarded £400,000 (on the Kidderminster Shuttle website) Workers who lost their jobs at a Kidderminster firm making cooker parts have been awarded a total of nearly £400,000.

Christian teacher loses anti-Semitism claim (on the Jewish Chronicle website) A Christian teacher who claimed that he was forced out of his job for complaining that Muslim pupils were making antisemitic and anti-Christian remarks has lost his employment tribunal claim.

Teacher loses unfair dismissal claim (on the This Is Lancashire website) A senior teacher who was dismissed for gross misconduct after allegations that she awarded herself pay rises and asked for school figures to be doctored has lost her claim for unfair dismissal.
