Employment tribunal decisions making the headlines: 10.07.10 to 23.07.10

Woman harassed about her age gets £4,000 payout (on the Belfast Telegraph website) A woman harassed by a boss who was fixated with her age has been awarded almost £4,000 for age discrimination.

Bus engineers sacked for clocking-in scam avoid tribunal costs (on the Birmingham Mail website) Eleven bus engineers sacked for running a "clocking-in" scam who paost their unfair dismissal claims will not have to pay costs.

Staff win first round in RKT employment tribunal (on the Broadcast Now website) An employment tribunal's preliminary judgment has ruled in favour of 10 former employees of Rocket Post Production (RKT) and ILab who are pursuing claims of unfair dismissal, non-payment of wages and statutory redundancy pay.

Paul Eddery's claim for unfair dismissal by brother Pat is dismissed (on the Guardian website) Paul Eddery has lost a claim for unfair dismissal against his brother Pat, the former jockey, after a judge ruled that he could not prove that he had been formally employed for the required minimum period of 12 months.
