HR bloggers come to the fore in leading the debate in 2011

People who want to know what's current thinking in HR are turning to blogs and 2011 was the year when HR conference organisers acknowledged that there are now two conferences under way at major events such as the CIPD's annual conference: the actual event and the online discussion about it. The latter can be more cutting edge than the event itself. Some bloggers are acquiring the status of opinion leaders in HR and blogs are  taking on the role of identitying key themes, spreading information and offering expert comment on the implications of developments in HR.

If you want a flavour of what HR blogs have to offer, read Michael Carty's favourite HR blog posts of 2011 on the XpertHR Employment Intelligence blog.

And for some examples of how bloggers covered the UK's biggest HR event in 2011 read Martin Couzins on The role of bloggers at this year's CIPD annual conference.

Blogs have made up the majority of links in this regular round-up of HR strategy related articles and this final post of the year is no exception, with topics including international HR, employee engagement, HCM and HR metrics, talent management and a lot more besides.
