I am deputy editor of IRS Pay and Benefits Bulletin, and as such am interested in the whole field of remuneration, with a specific focus on pay in the finance, retail and not-for-profit sectors, alongside the marketplace for benefits and allowances and the impact of wider economic trends on the reward environment.

Before working for IRS, I put in five-plus years on the XpertHR editorial team, working on the site as it expanded from its unnamed, pre-launch incarnation to the HR information powerhouse it is today.

Further back, I worked as a writer at Incomes Data Services , and before that I worked in research and writing roles at a banking consultancy in the City of London (cryptically named the Bank Relationship Consultancy) and at the Open University Business School in Milton Keynes.
