I am editor of Occupational Health and Employers' Law magazines and a contributor to PersonnelToday.com. Another recent role was conference adviser for XpertHR Events, where I had responsibility for programmes and content for a wide range of HR and employment law conferences and master classes.

Previous roles have included editor and manager of reader revenues on Personnel Today, and deputy editor of Doctor, a news magazine for GPs. I am interested in the ‘human’ in Human Resources, including management behaviour, workplace organisation, occupational psychology, HR strategy and broader social developments related to work. To put it simply I am interested in why people behave the way they do at work (and out of it). Specific topics I follow include workplace health and wellbeing (including absence management), recruitment and talent management, performance management, employee engagement and how technology (including social media) is affecting working practices.
