I have been a researcher/writer on IRS Employment Review, specialising in recruitment and retention, for longer than I care to remember! I also cover topics in the broader HR and employee relations spectrum with particular interest in equal opportunities. My background is in research, and I have over 15 years experience in devising, designing and implementing both quantitative and qualitative research tools. I am particularly keen on focus groups and have used this approach to research all sorts of topics with organisations across all sizes and sectors of industry.
My background in psychology has given me a good grounding in the area of recruitment and selection, but my own holy grail - the definitive, unbiased, equitable, consistent, accurate selection model – still eludes me. Answers on a postcard please.
Outside work, I am something of a slave to Munster rugby and all the trauma that goes with it.
