JobPricing tip 3. How far can I go without subscribing?

The CELRE JobPricing service is designed to allow anyone to see the extent and depth of our survey databases.

If you are not a subscriber, that means you can select the survey that interests you from the JobPricing home page, and see immediately both the number of employers participating and the number of employees covered by the survey.

Don't forget, CELRE collects data on individual - but anonymised - employees, so there are real salary values in the underlying databases, not averages or other aggregated sums.

You can also at this stage see the available refinements in the survey you have chosen. Typically, you may want to narrow down the options by level of seniority and job function, plus other refinements relevant to you - industry, location or company size, for example.

To refine the survey data, click into the "show options" box and select the specific options that interest you.

When you then click "apply" at the bottom of the list of options, a query is sent to the database, and you will see that the number of employers and number of employees remaining in your chosen sample is recalculated.

Once you have selected all the refinements that interest you, you will be left with a clear idea of the relevant sample size in the CELRE survey.

If you are not a subscriber, you will not be able to see the salaries associated with these selections. To do that, you need to take out a subscription.
