Pay forecasts for 2010

Reward specialists expect to see pay settlements in 2010 come in at a median of 2%, according to a major annual survey by IRS published exclusively on XpertHR today.

The annual pay prospects survey suggests a slightly brighter picture in the coming year than in 2009, but says this depends heavily on improvements in the economy over the coming months.

It also found that one in four employee groups (24.7%) faces a pay freeze this year - up from a forecast figure of just 5.9% this time last year.
