Maternity pay: benchmarking best practice

Does your organisation follow the statutory minimum for maternity leave and pay, or do you see advantages in offering more generous benefits? Have you put a policy in place to deal with the new right to additional paternity leave?

A useful starting point for developing policies is benchmarking against what other organisations offer.
XpertHR is conducting a named-practice survey of employer practice on maternity/paternity pay and leave, and completing the survey will give you access to our research findings, covering:
  • enhancements employers make to maternity pay;
  • additional paternity leave and pay;
  • annual leave and pension considerations; and
  • bonuses and keeping-in-touch days.
And to thank you for your participation, on completing the survey you will get free access to XpertHR's research on maternity provision and return-to-work arrangements following maternity leave.

Don't delay - this survey closes on 2 March 2011.

If you have any queries about this research, please do not hesitate to call me on 020 8652 2271 or email.

  • XpertHR offers a wealth of resources to help employers deal with maternity leave and pay, including an interactive workflow as part of the new Liveflo service (subscription required) with step by step guidance through procedures to comply with the law.
