Call for evidence on aligning income tax and national insurance contributions
Close date: 31 December 2015
The Government invites comments on the burdens that employers face in operating separate income tax and national insurance contribution systems, and invites views on how to simplify the systems, with the aim of achieving closer alignment of income tax and national insurance contributions. The call for evidence asks 19 survey questions, including where employers go for information on the two systems, and whether or not national insurance contributions should continue to be administered on a weekly or monthly basis.
