Call for evidence: partial review of the shortage occupation list for the UK and Scotland
Close date: 5 December 2014
The Government calls for evidence from the Migration Advisory Committee for the inclusion or removal of occupations on the shortage occupation list, particularly in the health sector. The review will look at consultant roles, nurses and training grades in the health sector, as well as ICT and overhead lineworkers for the electricity sector, with a view to determining whether or not there is a shortage of labour in those occupations that could sensibly be filled by using labour outside of the EEA.
