Consultation on devolving decisions on Sunday opening hours to local areas

The Government consults on whether or not Sunday trading rules for larger shops should be devolved to local areas, to support high street shops by modernising trading laws and increasing retail opportunities. The consultation invites views on whether or not trading rules should be devolved to local mayors or local authorities to decide on Sunday opening hours.
