Consultation on draft code of practice on the employment aspects of the Equality Bill
Close date: 2 April 2010
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) consults on a draft statutory code of practice to support the employment provisions of the Equality Bill once it becomes law. The purpose of the code of practice is to explain the statutory provisions in the Equality Bill and to apply the legal concepts to everyday work-related situations, to assist employers, courts, tribunals and others who need to apply the law. The consultation includes a questionnaire for respondents to identify any areas in the code of practice that have not accurately explained the new obligations and rights under the law.
