Consultation on draft Financial Assistance Scheme (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2010
Close date: 6 October 2009
The Government consults on draft Regulations to implement the remaining elements of the changes to the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) announced on 17 December 2007. The FAS was set up to help those who had suffered significant losses to their pensions as a result of employer insolvency. The draft Regulations include provisions for transferring the remaining assets of relevant schemes to the Government and enabling the FAS to make payments to members of those schemes that would previously have been made by scheme trustees.
