Consultation on explosives legislation

Close date: 24 September 2013

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) consults on proposals to consolidate and modernise the explosives legislation. The purpose of the proposals is to make the legislation easier to understand without diluting or altering substantively current health, safety and security requirements. The HSE also proposes to withdraw the Approved Code of Practice to the Manufacture and Storage of Explosives Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/1082). The consultation document indicates that the changes will be made in October 2014.
