Consultation on hiring agency workers during industrial action

Close date: 9 September 2015

The Government consults on repealing the restrictions on hiring agency staff to provide cover during industrial action. The proposal involves the removal of reg.7 of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/3319), which precludes the provision of temporary workers to perform the duties normally performed by a worker who is taking part in a strike or other industrial action.
